Our prompt of the month is "All Things New." While pondering this, I realize that the term " Sr. Citizen"...is now me and that is certainly new! And with this new title, comes lots of new things.
First off, saggy skin. Oh, and lots off it! Bat wings now flap, where once thin, firm arms held my babies...who are now well into their thirties.
And I have 6 wonderful Grandbabies...which isn't so new, since my Maddy will graduate this year and go off to College in the Fall. That will be a new and exciting experience for her and my prayers for her, will surely be starting a new direction.
But most importantly...there is a new awareness of how short, this life is...compared to Eternity with Jesus.
No, I don't yearn for younger days and I am, truly thankful for every part of this aging process and the wisdom that comes with it. I am healthy, active and truly loved. How grateful I am for all that God has given me.
Some day, I will leave this earth for a new home, one that Jesus has prepared just for me...Because in Him, I am a new creation and I will live eternally, like all Believers that have gone before me.
No, there is nothing new under the sun...God ordained it so.
What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again...there is nothing new under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1:9
~Blessings y'all.

Just noting that your new- i.e.senior citizen-is technically old. The end. ;)
Life is always changing....thankful there is nothing new to Him...So we can handle anything.
I attended a Memorial Service for the woman I worked seven years for at a Hallmark store. Her and her husband owned it. He passed away last May. Watching the video they made with all her photos from birth to more recently it made me think a lot about my age and the future. The minister talked long and hard about our future in Heaven.
And it is all good! Amen!
