I Am Grammy
Grandma & Grandaddy Carter...she left precious memories.
The word Grammy is not just a noun...person, place or thing. It is a verb...action word. And Grammy's help shape the world. Oh, yes we do! We teach life lessons, correct wrong behavior and love after correction.
We feed, bathe and clothe little ones. We wipe dirty faces, runny noses and bottoms when in diapers or potty training. We are chauffeurs, chefs and referees. Oh, and surely, nurses with no degrees.
We laugh, cry and hope for their futures. We pray for their souls and show them Jesus. All with a common goal, expecting nothing in return.
We love unconditionally, doesn't matter the cost. Storing up memories enough to last a lifetime. So, that long after we are gone. They will know, just how important they are. Because, they found love and acceptance in Grammy's arms.
Love to all!

So true. You are so lucky. I hope I get a chance someday to be one.
My daughter has been married for 7 1/2 years and doesn't really want any. My son is 30 and lives with his best girl, just bought a condo together in LA, but no plans for marriage. I'm 57 and I'm ready!!!
great post!!
This applies to GIGI's too!
Hugs,
Connie
Hi Trish,
Thank you so much for checking in on me, I am having some internet server problems this week, it seems to be some better today.
Hopefully, it will let me post today.

Grammies, nannies ( as my kids called my mom ) grannies...arent they just wonderful.
I am looking forward to my day to become one !
Your babies are blessed to have you, what a precious grammy you are !
~ Hugs and love to you.
I love this picture of your grandparents! What a precious couple, and Grandma is very pretty! As a person who grew up without much contact from my grandmothers..I really miss that bond that is created between grandchild and grandparent. Your grands are so blessed, they will never forget the love and guidance you have shown them. There's no pricetag for that kind of gift!
I never knew my grandmothers very well...but I knew about them...my daughters did not have the joy of grandparents...on either side, so it brings me incredible joy to be a grandmother....
