There Is Hope

It has been a rough couple of weeks for our family.  When one member is hurting....we all hurt.  Are we sad?  Yes... But we are not defeated.   Jesus, guides our weary souls and well, loves us through it.
Things are much better this morning.  Though waves have crashed all around us...we stand firm on the Solid Rock of God.  Decisions have been made...God has lead our every step.  When it seemed darkness was closing in...there He was, the light of the world shining for all to see.  Do you see him this morning?  I pray that you do...Jesus is here and Oh, I am blessed.

The Life Of A Busy Grammy

Here it is 6 days until Thanksgiving and I haven't even bought a Turkey!  Not good... but tomorrow, it is first on a long list of to do's.  My Tomer and Son-in-law David have been Hunting...Sooo, that means that I have had Em and Xavie aka Scooter for 3 days because their Mama works the midnight shift.  I get them off to school in the mornings, do what has to be done around here and then it's pick them up, feed them, homework, get them in the shower, referee, etc., etc....this list could go on but 'nuff said.  Oh, and tonight Elek is joining us because I promised him earlier in the week that he could spend the night.  And well, you have to be a keeper of your word.
Thankfully, this is Mandy's weekend off and tomorrow morning she will pick up her babies after her shift at the Hospital and Kellerbell will pick up her baby... and I will rush through my chores and list of to do's!!!
I am looking forward to settling in for a candlelit dinner...alone...which I will not cook...it will be take out. I will bask in the glow of a clean, quiet house and watch myself several cheesey ol' Hallmark Christmas Movies that I have on the DVR.   Ahhh...ain't life grand?  Yes, it surely is!  Now, where's my coffee???

Alive And Well

I have to be honest...when I saw that Obama was the projected winner of the Presidency Tuesday night...I felt panic rise up in my Spirit!  "Dear Lord!"  I said aloud!  Never, in my 60 years did I believe that this great Nation of ours would stoop so low morally...Never!  I didn't sleep much that night wrestling with what this decision meant for us all... BUT then the Holy Spirit said "nothing has changed in Me...the Church is alive and well!"   Hallelujah!  There is no reason to panic...God's people are still praying and God hears!  Maybe we didn't get what we were praying for BUT God is still on the Throne...Jesus is alive and I for one trust in Him to do what is best for us.  So, onward I go...Yes, The Church triumphant is alive and well!

Election Day


"We, the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

I just got back from casting my Vote...I did it in honor of all of our Veterans and those serving still.
