Baby Shower, House and Emilee

Granddaughter Emilee spending the night.

This has been a busy week. Last night, I helped decorate and prepare for my nieces Baby Shower. We, my sisters and nieces had that place done up in no time! Today, we had a great time of fellowship and eating amazing Mexican food. That was lovingly prepared, by my nieces Mom-in-law. This baby, is a miracle and little Bella will be loved, loved, loved!
Our oldest daughter Kelly, is going to be moving sometime in February. My pal Peg and I have been cleaning the new house. They need to get in and paint before the big day arrives. I love the neighborhood and am excited as can be...you'd think I was the one moving! God is so good!
Emilee came home with this ol' Grammy to spend the night. She gave me a lovely pedicure and I curled her hair. Just like I did her Mama's on Saturday nights, so that she will be loverly for Church in the morning.
She and Tomer are now fast asleep! And here I sit wide eyed! I thought that I'd be tired early, since I did not sleep well last night...think I caught this from Sara! LOL. Pray you have a wonderful Sunday...I need to sign out and shut my mind off.
If not...I'm going to be a slug, come tomorrow morning!

Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.

God Provides

Elek enjoying a bucket of beverage

I don't have anything new and exciting going on. Spent the first part of the day caring for Elek and now that Supper is over, I am catching up on a few chores.
The kitchen is clean, the bathroom sparkles and everything has been vacuumed and dusted. Now, all that's left to do is put fresh sheets in the spare bedroom.
Xavier, has been very sick with bronchitis...poor guy. It's back to breathing treatments and a round of antibiotics. It sure makes me sad when they are sick...sigh. Please remember him in your prayers?
Tomer, is feeling better everyday, though he is more tired than usual. He has taken himself a nap both yesterday and today, between his bus runs. And is now on his way to Church, It's his night for parking lot duty.
We are expecting a warm up here and rain! I do not want rain...I want snow! We have had a mild Winter thus far. Shhh...to myself. No murmuring and complaining. The suffering in Haiti is horrific! Such sorrow. And those poor people, are left with nothing, sleeping in the streets and waiting for help to arrive. Oh God, meet their needs and remind us, here in America, just how blessed we are. Help us, not to take things like...heat, running water, food, clothing and a place to lay our heads at night for granted. Please forgive us Lord? And find us worthy, of all that you provide?

UPDATE ON TOMER

Tomer's surgery is now behind us and all is well! The Dr. broke the stone up with a laser, removed all pieces AND the stint.
We had to be up so early, that we have done nothing but rest, since we got home this afternoon...laying around like a couple of slugs.
Tomorrow things will be back to normal...thank the good Lord!
Thank you so much for your prayers.

Tomorrow's The Big Day

Tomer building the Tree Condo

Tomorrow morning, bright and early, my Tomer and I will be heading back to the hospital, for what we pray, is his last procedure for the big ol' Kidney Stone that he has been dealing with. If the stone, hasn't passed on it's own, they will break it up with a laser and if per chance, it is gone, the Dr. will remove the stint. Which is what Tomer is praying for!
He hasn't been able to work out or keep himself as busy as he likes. Don't get me wrong, nothing keeps that man down...he hasn't missed a day of work because of it and even scheduled his surgery for tomorrow, since it's a holiday and there's NO school! So, if everything goes as planned he will be pre-tripping his bus come Tuesday morning and on the road as usual.
Please keep him in your prayers?
Thank you.

Love to all!

Gram's Adventures With Eman

This is my #1 Grandson Ian

It has been a long and busy week. Keeping up with 2 and 4 year old boys is at times trying and oh, so tiring. But, as always the rewards outweigh everything...especially when you are told that "you are the best Grammy in the world" by Xavier and Elek just climbs into your lap, snuggles in and quick as a wink is fast asleep. Love overcomes every trying and tiring moment of the day and when they leave here I am at peace because I have done exactly as the Lord would have me do...Love.
Tomorrow, I have plans with my oldest Grandboy Ian. I called my hairdresser and made a haircut appointment for my Eman as we call him. He has let his hair grow out and I am the one who usually cuts it. BUT the boy has sooo much hair that it needs to be razored and textured a bit. After wards we will go to lunch and then do some shopping. He is great company and even though he is quiet and shy with most. He is quite the talker with us and I am more than happy to listen to what is going on in his life...skateboarding, tech decks and of course the drama going on at school.
I want to make sure that he doesn't feel left out since the younger boys and both girls seem to spend more time here. Ian is most like his Papa, quiet, has his build and likes to be busy at all times! He is soft hearted and generous.
So, tomorrow morning, I will be dolling myself up and picking up my Eman. My hearts desire is, that when he is a grown man with babies of his own... he will always remember this Grammy's love!

Catching Up

It is a beautiful, bright sunshiney morning.
Believe me, it did this ol' heart good to feel the warmth of the sun, through the bathroom window, as I gave it a good scrubbing. I am catching up after a busy and overwhelming week. Christmas, finally left this house yesterday. Took me all day but everything is neatly tucked away where it belongs...sigh of relief.
Last night I had to take my Tomer back to the ER...Oh, yes another painful attack.
Good news is that the X-ray showed no signs of Calcification. The Dr. thinks he may have passed the stone...Hallelujah. He had a meeting at the Church this morning AND on his way home he is finally having his pain med scrip filled. He says he learned his lesson...have pain meds on hand in case you need them. Why suffer?
Thank you, Dear friends for your prayers and words of encouragement. I am so thankful for your love during this sad time...I have no words for what we have experienced but you held us up and for that I am truly blessed.

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world. Romans 1:8

Not Forsaken Nor Destroyed

Dear Friends,
You will not find me here for a while. I have no words to describe the sadness that our family has experienced. Early Sunday morning our sweet, kind nephew David took his own life. I have been walking around in shock and disbelief.
His sister has been with us and this morning Tom will pick up our niece from Kansas, at the airport. I pray that I will be Christs hands reaching out, His ears listening to broken hearts shed their grief and His heart full of compassion and love.
Please pray for our family (especially his wife) the next few days as we prepare to say our goodbyes to this precious boy.
We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed--
2 Corinthians 8-9

Love,

Lessons Of Forgiveness

Here it is the first morning of a new decade. What it holds only God knows and that is just as it should be. He set the world in motion...with Him we live and move and have our being.
As for New Years Resolutions, I have none...never do. I try to let the Lord guide my life and take care of my family. BUT one thing I have learned this past year is about forgiveness! You know, when you sit in the seat of the accused, after being misjudged and wrongly accused? And have no clue as to where it is coming from. How this very moment defines you! Do you lash back? No, thankfully I didn't empower others to shape my identity in Christ. I learned a great lesson a few years back from a video of Andy Stanley. Jesus, wasn't defined by His enemies and we didn't deserve forgiveness but Jesus refused to give away His power. Hallelujah!
So, I start out this wonderful New Year, determined to forgive. Why? Because forgiveness, opens wide the door to relationships. And if there is victory to be won, it is through forgiveness. Think about it...what drew you to Jesus in the first place? Yes...FORGIVENESS. God defines us...no one else and for this, I am, ever grateful.
