Memorial Day...My Heroes

My Daddy but 17 years old in his first Army photo. The photo is a little rough around the edges, but it shows his sweet, handsome face and that's most important.
World War II Vet.

The marker provided by the government...lies at Daddy's feet.

My Grandaddy Carter...Mama's Daddy. He served and had a wife and 5 daughters waiting at home.

Last, but certainly not least...my Tomer. Ubon, Thailand 1971.
Thank you, to all who have served and those serving still. I am a very thankful American...the land of the free and the home of the brave...because of you!

The photos are so moving.Your father, the too young boy, so sweet, red cheeked and lovable.

Your granddad is wearing the same uniform as my uncle Bjorn. Norwegian born, brother of my mother, but fighting for America in Normandy WW2.

May they never be forgotten.
Your Tomer was looking great back in 1971, as he is now.
