One Day At A Time

I'm sure, that you have heard me whine about not liking to work out...Whaaa! I sit, sipping my coffee, most weekday mornings while Tomer grunts and groans downstairs on his weight bench and happily sings to David Crowder, while wearing my IPod and riding my exercize bike. That I, have used a handful of times since he bought it for me...per my request, over a year ago...sigh.
Are you sitting down? Well, of course you are! I purposed in my heart, this morning after my time with the Lord...that I, Patricia Louise Musser Andrews, will ride that bike at least every other day! I am waiting for the euphoria one feels after working out..so far, not feeling it. But, what I will say is "I feel that I made myself get down there and push past the thoughts of "I do not enjoy this, I do not enjoy sweating," etc., etc., etc., So, the feeling of accomplishment...well, it feels pretty good. I am not tooting my own horn! What, I am trying to say is, we can do all things with the help of the Lord! He alone, can convict me, to take care of this body that He has blessed me with. Not my Tomer...because even though his intentions are good...I tend to get aggravated, when he tries to coax me into getting on that bike. Hey you never know...maybe one day I too will be on that bench grunting and groaning as I press 200 lbs...NOT! But, this is a start and I will take it one day at a time...thank you Lord for strength and health. And please, make me ever mindful of it.

Love to All.

Dear Trish,
I agree, we owe it to ourselves to do some exercise.
Just got to find something we like.
Gunnar's physiotherapist challenged him to crawl like a baby on the floor(diagonal wise, left foot follows right hand) for 7 minutes a day for 7 weeks. That is supposed to train about every muscle in the body and give me better balance as well. and I get the endorphin kick!
I must be easier for you, who haven't forgotten all about the your grandchild's crawling.
Hold your head up and move the focus, like a curious child, the physiotherapist said.
Easier can it not be.
Just remember ignoring the dust and stuff you will be discovering while crawling. Slow.

I like that crawling exercise Felisol talked about ... just repeat: I think I can, I think I can, I think I can ... I thought I could, I thought I could, I did it. Sigh ... take a deep breath ... and a shower. More coffee .. and a cookie;) You have inspired me to exercise ...

Hmmm..now you have me giving serious thought to walking ... I know I should ... and Felisol's comment about crawling is interesting. I may try it as long as Fred will be willing to help me get off the floor when I'm finished.
